Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria is a Romanian Actress. Her screen debut was with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. The actress fluently speaks French, German and English. Her father was an actor and her mother a violinist. The award was presented to her as the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award during The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as an European Shooting Star. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 days (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days) by Cristian Mungiu, which was awarded the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). Also, she was as a character in The Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in the BBC Mini-Series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a character in Yasim's story in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, in addition to in the Romanian film Boogie. She played Irma on Fury 2014 in which she portrayed a German known aunt for Emma.
